Rice Bran Oil Solvent Extraction Plant

Rice Bran Husk from rice mill is received at Grain unloading, receiving and bulk storage section of processing plant. From this section it will go to cleaning, destoning section.
From cleaning section, it will go to inlet of rotary dryer hopper. Rotary dryer will reduce moisture content of received material to 1%. Drier husk will give better yields in solvent extraction.
After drying, material is fed to pulverizers to reduce particle size. Pulverized material will go to intermediate storage silos. Bucket Elevators will load dry material into solvent extraction vessels. 25% of volume will first be loaded with pure ethanol (Non-denatured, Food Grade) via pumps, then dry material in full quantity will be loaded and balance ethanol will be loaded lastly. When solvent extraction vessel is empty, agitator must be rotating and it will be running continuously during entire loading, extraction and unloading process. During extraction process, hot water will be circulated through limpet to increase temperature of solvent mixture. This is done to improve extraction efficiency and yield of oil.

This mixture will be recirculated through UAE unit. Solvent mixture will come into UAE Unit by gravity. From outlet of UAE unit, it will be recirculated to solvent extraction tank via pump.
After extraction process is completed, filtered solution will go to evaporation system.
We will use Ultrasound Assisted Extraction UAE wherein we will put ultrasonic waves. Using ultrasound, it will break cell membranes and give better yield than conventional methods.
One Falling Film Calendria, One Forced Circulation Canendria and Agitated Thin Film Evaporator (ATFE). ATFE will evaporate ethanol and rice bran oil is collected at bottom and will be transferred to final storage oil tank and then to packing section. Evaporated ethanol at different stages will be recovered in condensers and will be reused.
Filtered rice bran material will be dried in limpet type tanks and evaporated ethanol will be recovered in vent condenser. Sifted powder will go to ribbon blender for homogenization and then it will go to packing machine.
