The Agitated Thin Film Evaporator (ATFE), or Wiped Film Evaporator (WFE), is a vertical, tubular heat exchanger used for the continuous separation of volatile components from high-viscosity, fouling, or heat-sensitive materials. It is highly effective for applications requiring high heat transfer efficiency and very short product residence times.
